IT’S WHY WE EMBRACE THE SLOW FASHION MOVEMENT.

We want your Duke and Hustle purchases to be considered, intentional, and valued. Our own slow fashion mantra goes like this:

1. Make Classics. We spend exactly zero time watching fashion runways. We’re not that brand. Tees are a basic staple, they’re wonderfully timeless and deliciously practical.

2. Make them Quality. Essential for staying out of landfill. We’re proud to use Australian Cotton, known for being strong, high quality, sustainable – and – traceable. As a natural fibre, cotton is also biodegradable and doesn't contribute to microplastic pollution.

3. Make a choice to Support Australian. Across our various production methods we are supplied by six other Australian small businesses, plus, indirectly, Aussie cotton farmers. (And another, I guess, if you count Aus Post!). With these deliberate “source local” intentions, we also minimise our transportation impact.

4. Make it Fair and Ethical. Our 100% Australian Cotton tee suppliers ensure a WRAP-certified production chain, covering labour, appropriate compensation, work safety and more. Read up on the 12 principles of WRAP Compliance. 🔗

5. Make to Order. Quite simply, we use the best quality blank shirts, we produce only the specific shirt and design you order, and only once it is ordered, by you. No warehouses of mass-produced product, no over produced flash-in-the-pan fashion trends. Just unique, ethically produced goods.

6. Make it for Heart-fill, not Landfill. Our collective passion and love for this Australian Coast is why we’re even here. To love it, to promote it, and to care for it. It would be heart-breaking to think all we’re making is just a short-term cameo-appearance shirt at the expense of this amazing planet.
